- Only production problem was the fact that Andrew MacDonald and Danny Boyle couldn't get the rights to make a film from the book
- The film making threesome are being badgered by Hollywood mogul Scott Rudin (producer of Sabrina and The Firm), who offers them $250,000 to film whatever projects they desire
- The rights were still problematic because Channel 4 were not willing to finance the film until they are able to get the full rights
- Irvine Welsh was on the producer's side so was willing to give him the rights to film
- The deal was eventually done for two percent of the film's budget (£30,000), and Noel Gay backing out of hand-on duties in exchange for a share of the profits and a name check on the credits.

Your "Trainspotting' notes appear to be rather thin...there was a huge amount of detail provided on the Prezi/discussed in class and your notes don't appear to reflect that.
