This helps to bring down the cost of the film, because as a result they won't need to spend money and prolong the use of certain production tools and actors. Time scales are predominantly used during the pre-production stage of a film, because there is a set deadline which the production team need to meet.

The Leveson inquiry was legal public inquiry into the culture, practices and ethics of the British press following the News International phone hacking scandal, chaired by Lord Justice Leveson, who was appointed in July 2011.
